This weekend Yuri Veerman perform his work ‘Boekverbrandingen: een bloemlezing’ (Book burnings: an anthology) at Welcome to The Village. I designed this book. The publication contains fragments from twenty different books that have once been burned or banned because of their content. Among the books are: Alice in Wonderland, The Green Book, Animal Farm, The Anarchist Cookbook, Mein Kampf, American Psycho and Harry Potter.

The book has Japanese binding: a coded version of the text on the outside of the pages, and the original fragments on the inside. So to read the texts, the pages have to be torn open.
